Hello! I have been skimming through your blog and this post caught my attention because I will be starting law school in August. I enjoyed reading the posts that I have gotten to so far! Well at QU there are two sections of students. The majority of scholarship recipients are placed into the same section, while a small minority of scholarship kids are placed with regular students in the other section. If you’re in the scholarship heavy section, hitting 50% will be more difficult, as each section is graded on its own curve. QU uses a B-/C+ median for its curve.

As for the weekly schedule, your 1L schedule is determined for you. You typically have 2-3 classes a day Monday through Friday with one easier day somewhere in there of just one course.

Hey! A few questions. I might be heading to QL this fall. I received a competitive scholarship offer from them, contingent upon maintaining ranking in the top 50% of the class. Based on the individual grading system and class size, would you say this is difficult to do? Also, what is your weekly schedule like? Thanks! Hope to see you in Hamden.

I read this case this past week too. Quite an… interesting case. Good to hear your first week has been going well and you’re getting a handle on things. It really is as hard as they say it is, but at least you walked in prepared for it! Good luck with the next week!

I’m a 3L law student at QUSL. I have to say that I prefer the Pilot G-2 0.5mm pens are my favorite. It is perfect for writing thin letters in the margins of your books. Hope this helps!
